How to care for your tape dressing:
  1. Do not perform any bandage changes for 24 hours.
  2. After 24 hours, gently remove the superficial most bandage (the bulky one).
  3. Do not remove the piece of tape that is adherent to your skin as it is protecting the stitches.
  4. You may shower with this tape dressing in place.
  5. We will remove the tape at your follow‐up visit. However, should the tape come off sooner, apply petrolatum jelly (Vaseline) once a day to the surgery site and cover with a band‐aid.
